“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Dear friends,
We often say that Rhema Broadcasting Group is about ‘changing lives for good’. Of course it is not actually us who bring about the changes in others; it is the Good News, the life-giving words of Jesus enlivened through the Holy Spirit, that results in lives being beautifully changed.
Some people are set free from things that hold them captive, others are healed, or have relationships restored, more are encouraged to step out in faith to do what God has called them to do, and others for the first time find new life in a relationship with Jesus.
There are times in my own life when I resist change. But God gently and lovingly, through His great wisdom and grace, helps me to do what I need to do to make the changes.
Here at Rhema Broadcasting Group we too constantly experience change. Technology races ahead at an enormous pace and programming, music, teaching and documentaries that we broadcast are being developed and enhanced so that they are more effective and more easily accessible. These new things that God is doing are surely the very best changes we could hope for.
While Jesus himself does not change ‘Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever’ (Hebrews 13:8), we all need to be ready to walk the path that God opens up for us and in turn help others to find the life-giving truth that He causes to spring up in the barren regions of our lives.
As you read this edition of Frequency Magazine we pray that you will sense some of the new things He is doing in our midst and in the lives of others. Thank you for helping us to share the Good News that in turn can bring a ‘change for good’ in every New Zealanders’ life.
God bless
John Fabrin and all at RBG.
P.S. If you are facing change, and it is scary, then consider this scripture. ‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go’ (Joshua 1:9).
